Mainsoft Grasshopper 2.5 (Aug 25, 2008)

Grasshooper 2.5 is a Visual Studio 2008 environment Plugin developed by Mainsoft, freely downloadable at dev.mainsoft.com, which transforms .NET applications into any Java platform including Linux. Difference between other visual studio plugins and Grasshopper 2.5 is that it runs on top of Tomcat. The technologies that Grasshopper 2.5 supports include ASP.NET 2.0 and the AJAX extensions, the AJAX Control Toolkit, new language features for C# 3.0 and Visual Basic 9 etc.

Mainsoft Developer Edition of Visual Studio Plugin has two specifications for enterprise developers that delivers .NET-Java interoperability -

Enterprise Edition: It provides support for large enterprise groups such as WebSphere Application Server and Tomcat working in an IDE environment with Java EE platform like JBoss, Weblogic etc.

Portal Edition: It includes a Visual Studio SDK that helps .NET developers to create Java Portets based on JSR 168 that run on WebSphere Portal Server.

Grasshopper 2.5 includes features of both the above mentioned editions and is specifically developed for small user groups to help them deploy their applcations on Apache Tomcat Server comprising a single-CPU.

Some of the key features of Grasshopper 2.5 are -

MSIL-Java Compilation: It provides a cross-compiler based on ECMA (334, 335) and JVM specifications that transforms the Microsoft Intermediate Language (MSIL) codes to Java byte codes.

Visual Studio Intregration: The visual studio integration in IDE environment makes development on the Linux platform easier and faster.

Support for Access to External Java Environment: It provides the facility to access the external java component codes that might be basically developed in a different java environment. It also provides the facility to access and use the JAR (Java Archive) files from C# or Visual Basic codes.

This product is based on open source technology with the .NET framework as the foundation on top of Apache Tomcat.

Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 1.0 (Aug 27, 2008)

The Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse (OEPE) has now released version 1.0 (v1.0) including a certified set of plugins that supports Eclipse 3.3 and 3.4. This release is intended to provide an integrated development environment (IDE) for WebLogic Server (WLS) Tools to develop, deploy and debug applications based on Java EE platform.

OEPE v1.0 installs a plugin to support the Eclipse Environment already existed or installs Eclipse plugins to support the servlet applications. This release is a reworked product of Oracle WLS Tools Project with Facelets incubator and Oracle DTP (Database Plugin).

The following features have been included in OEPE v1.0 -

Supported Server Versions: OEPE has full support for WebLogic Server versions 10.3, 10.0 and 9.2 and a limited support for versions 9.1, 9.0 and 8.1.

FastSwap: Java Class Redefinition is supported by OEPE by dynamic reloading of fields and methods into java classes and reduces the iteration of development cycles.

Remote Deployment Support: Development, Deployment and Debugging in remote WebLogic Server is supported for 9.x and higher versions.

Support for Virtual EAR Technology: OEPE makes development and deployment of WebLogic Server applications in large organizations faster with improved performance with supported Virtual EAR technology that enables automatic generation of Descriptor files.

WebLogic Shared J2EE Library: OEPE has support for WebLogic Shared J2EE Library that enables the deployment of enterprise java applications faster because the same java module types canbe shared by different aplications.

Graphical Editing support for Deployment Descriptors: Graphical editing is supported for deployment descriptors weblogic.xml and weblogic-application.xml.

WebLogic Server Extension Facets: OEPE facilitates suuport for server extetension facets for four project types, viz., EAR, Web App, Utility module and EJB projects.

Apache XMLBeans Support: Apache XMLBeans are supported in OEPE that facilitates easy access to XML data by using Java. OEPE supports versions 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 of Apache XMLBeans.

The OEPE v1.0 can be used at free of cost and any other Oracle product using Eclipse-based IDE can use it though it specifically designed to integrate with WebLogic Server.

Hi folks! Are you wondering about JSF quick reference??

I have just written this post in order to minimize your problems in getting quick reference to Java Server Faces.

This post is Just a quick introduction to JSF but if you are looking for the JSF Quick Tutorials please visit: http://www.roseindia.net/jsf

Okay so lets talk about the Java Server Faces now…

What is Java Server Faces or JSF?

Java Server Faces or in short you can call it as JSF was created to build web applications with more advance features. In Short JSF is a standard framework that provides user interface components to be used in web base applications.

You can do so many things using JSF including Event Handling, validating your application framework or can do a plug in with different markup languages.

It was just a qick introduction to JSF, now lets see who can learn JSF?

User Interface Component Model, Yes as we all know that it’s a user interface component model that is used for creating rich web applications. So there is no doubt that anyone of us can learn this technology.

But still there are certain professional who must know how to work on this are:

* Page authors
* Application developers
* Tool venders and Application architects or
* Content writers

Any one can learn this technology if he or she having some basic programming knowledge.

So if you have some basic programming knowledge and you are looking for a sort of JSF Training online visit the given link page:

This is a day-to-day need of every industry and required to keep data accurate and up to date.

So in this tutorial we are going to show you how to show a current date in your program using java.util in JSP. This simple example of JSP contains syntax of printing current date and time on consol.

So if you want to write a code that returns current date and time in JSP, see this code.

Because all biologist need to save, retrieve and analysis biological data every time. This is the only reason why we need it to work fast and without making any mistakes.

But when these bioinformatics tools are not user friendly can create some problem while working with it or could cause a major problem in case incorrect use. So it is vital to design it very user friendly as biologist are non-technical person and hardly know how to use computers.

Few examples of bioinformatics tools are…

Homology      and Similarity Tools

Protein      Function Analysis

Structural      Analysis

Sequence      Analysis

Homology      and Similarity Tools

There are number of bioinformatics tools are available in the market that are solving different purposes of biologist need.

So here with this tutorial you will be reading about bioinformatics tools and why it is required? Apart from these you will find out about the sort of these tools and what are the possible guideline to design any biological tools for a layman.
